EV-K130 - Tiny Mini-Slider to Debut in Korea

"A mid-tier Korean cell phone maker took the wraps off a miniature handset, sized at just 8.2 by 3.7 centimeters with a thickness of 1.69 centimeters. It weighs 73.5 grams.

KTF Technologies, a handset-making subsidiary of the nation¡¯s No. 2 wireless carrier KTF, Thursday said it plans to market the mini-sized slider, EV-K130, next week at around 370,000 won.

``Following our wafer-thin model months ago, the EV-K130 is the result of our continual efforts to cater to the needs of many tech-savvy Koreans,¡¯¡¯ company spokesperson Lee Min-ji said.

In March, KTF Technologies caught the tech world by surprise via developing a 7.9-millimeter-thick model, the bar-type EV-K100 that has been a big hit in the local market....

With Cell Phones, Thin is In

"KTF Technologies, a mid-tier Korean cell phone maker, Sunday took the wraps off a 7.9-millimeter-thick handset, which the company claims is the world's thinnest model.

KTF Technologies, an affiliate of the nation's runner-up wireless carrier KTF, plans to market the bar-type EV-K100, codenamed ``No. 7,'' early next week via its parent firm at just below 400,000 won ($412).

``Our ultra-slim phone would be a grand slam since it offers rich applications at a reasonable price. The slimness will also arrest the attention of design-savvy customers,'' a KTF spokesman said....
